DRAMATIC PRICE REDUCTION - OWNER WANTS IT SOLD. This is not your normal, cute, little tug, although she is routinely admired at the many classic boat shows she attends every year. Pull Toy was twice centerfold in Classic Yacht Magazine. She was designed by Eldredge and McInnis Marine Architects of Boston, and was ruggedly built by Crosby yachts of Osterville, Massachusetts in 1979 as a harbor fire boat for use down in Southern California. Her full, wide, walk-around decks are a full 7/8" teak and ruggedly reinforced for towing with her two massive bronze towing bits. On retirement, her original 62HP Perkins engine with the fire fighting PTOs and massive water pump was removed and a ‘normal’ 62HP Perkins installed as its replacement. She was launched with US Certificate of Documentation number 951159 (name “Gus”). On coming to Canada she was registered with official number 820010 (name "Pull Toy"), at 7.68 gross tons. As her documentation, registration chain is unbroken, she should be capable of regaining documentation status in the US. This vessel in universally admired by those who like classic beauty. Her elegant form and great sheer plus the glistening finishes on hull and deckhouse win notice and commendations wherever she goes. She and her crew have repeatedly won prizes at various classic boat shows around lower Vancouver Island including the Victoria Classic Boat Show. She is, of course, not only a show boat, but a, cozy fun getaway vessel for two sailors wanting to casually gunkhole around our Gulf and San Juan Islands. She incidentally has been used in many professional photo shoots. The 2013 survey said: "The vessel was found clean, orderly, and continues to receive superior standards of maintenance and care." That is still the case. View the photo section for the information placard used at shows plus some lovely photos. A 42' boathouse in Canoe Cove is also available but not included. Available to view by appointment please.
